The seedlings program of Ridgewood Montessori School is thoughtfully set up to create an atmosphere of freedom and exploration. It is designed to welcome the children, keep them safe and encourage them to interact with each other. The materials in the environment help them develop cognitive, motor, sensory, language, social and practical life skills.
The emphasis during the toddler years is on building self-confidence, supporting independence and working on grace and courtesy while nurturing the natural curiosity that toddlers possess.
We seek to maximize the child’s sensitive period for language by offering creative and intriguing concepts to expand his/her growing vocabulary. This is done through daily greetings, individual conversations, and by singing songs and learning nursery rhymes during circle time.
Children are also free to work with our many inviting and engaging Montessori materials.
Full time and part time classes are available year round. Please schedule an appointment
with Leah, our Director of Admissions.
